That's something.

This is surprising considering it's been on hiatus for years, I wonder if they'll just adapt the 2 volumes released or use the WN material after that or maybe a continuation/reboot is planned like Vending Machine ?.

As I understand, the LN is out of publication because of some disputes between the author and the publisher - but the story still continues in the manga adaptation (it has a whole 10 volumes by the current day and still running) - so it's not entirely frozen like Vending Machine at all.
Plus the fact that they use manga character designs instead of LN (like the adaptation of 7th Prince running this Spring) is clearly indicative that they not following LN itself, but rather the manga for a reasons.

Thank you, I only read the LN, it's good to know that we can continue the manga.

I really don’t think the anime will be based on the LN, since the original author got in a fight or something with an artist, Kadokawa punished him by delisting and deleting the novel everywhere, and even forcing Yen Press to stop selling the EN versions. Only the manga remains now.

But the japanese Behemoth LN publisher is not Kadokawa at all - it's GC Novels/Micro Magazine stuff.

Read the first manga volume on this one, and it was cute. Probably won't make anything better than a run-of-the-mill anime, but it should be entertaining at least.

I read the first 10 - 15 chapters of this back when the manga started. Oh boy, will there be reactions.

Definitely. There's no slavery at least, but you have to have a very high tolerance for beastiality.

Okay so I got the publisher wrong, but that doesn’t change anything else I commented.

Nah, compared to stuff like Inukai-san's Dog everything that happens here is very, very tame - because while she (and some other character) got some screws loose, they not go all in beyond simple fanservice... at least by now.
