Nice interview. I quite like the art styles used in these films—really appreciate it when anime gets a bit more experimental with its animation.

Night is Short wasn't my cup of tea (it seems Tomihiko Morimi's writing doesn't click with me), but I really loved Ride Your Wave. I still need to watch the other three mentioned. (Was planning to watch Inu-Oh after finishing The Heike Story, but got sidetracked.)

Yuasa is probably my favorite living anime director, so it's nice seeing this interview. I think the TV series format works a little better for his storytelling methods (pacing, etc), but still enjoy his movies too.

Here's hoping we get to see some more from him in the future! Hopefully he can get a little rest in the meantime.

While Inu-Oh is my favorite anime out of the five mentioned in the article, I don't think one can go wrong giving all of them a chance.
