What the heck happened to Spy x Family? Do anime users now lost interest of SxF? And wow, look at Kunoichi Tsubaki!

There are a bunch of better shows out there and I guess it finally caught up.

I personally felt like SxF was kind of "phoning it in" with the latest episode (it felt like we were mostly just re-hashing old jokes and were in between interesting new developments), although the drop in ranking is larger than I'd have guessed. Even the worst SxF episode is better than almost all other shows, IMO.

My revised opinion: they ran out of dodgeball. Sad

" Even the worst SxF episode is better than almost all other shows, IMO."
Agreed. Sorry about the crude quote, I had to edit that in.

Kunoichi Tsubaki had a particularly entertaining bit with the "Attractiveness Jutsu", so people bumped it up, I think.

An aside: for me, these ratings are relative, and as much about how entertaining a show is as they are a matter of artistic quality. So in a strong season like this one, a show's position in a list will naturally jump around a lot. The second list, where some smoothing is applied, is a lot better statement of which shows entertained the most people.

And let me plug Don't Hurt Me, Healer a bit. In a more ordinary season, I think it would have wound up in the middle someplace. I don't claim it's great stuff, and some of it is just my love of dumb humor, but I think it's offbeat, nicely non-typical, but also a good if average comedy. Smile Wink

The one in the ranking is episode 10, not 11. Which was imo the best episode of Spy Family yet, but I'm that one guy in the room who doesn't really like the series much, so I can see most people don't agree with me in general over the series

Personally I like SxF more for the comedy than the romcom, family or pseudo spy stuff. So I think the last few episodes have been the best yet, but I realize "heart" is usually what win popularity so I understand the drop.

Its still at a 4.5, which has been pretty consistent all season. so, it didn't really drop, all these other shows just ranked slightly higher last week.

Oh, that's a good point -- I was definitely thinking of the very latest episode, and didn't check the column carefully enough to notice it was about the second-to-latest one.

SxF still the most overrated anime to exist. Who calls a show about a girl spazzing out peak fiction. It already crashed on basically every vote site. It is just lucky it didn't air at the same time as big shonen which is why its rating is still high. Once fall hits, its ratings will likely tank since they can no longer say SxF is a masterpiece vs Bleach TYBW mob, etc..

What sites, specifically? It's still #1 on MAL, which to my knowledge is the biggest English language ranking site.

Don't read too much into the weekly rating drop for SxF here. The top dozen titles all rated a 4.5 or a 4.6, so this was a really competitive week. The series is still rock-solid on its #1 overall ranking even over stalwart rating powerhouses like Kaguya-sama and One Piece. Honestly, I don't think its competition would matter much; SxF is arguably the biggest hit since Demon Slayer, and it's not going to fade anytime soon.

Agreed, it had its faults, mainly it's too slow and draw out jokes too much(the six episode with Medusa and Dryad is so much better because it keeps faster pace), but it really has its own charm, much like Aharen-san. It doesn't really deserve the last place like if it was Ex-Arm, but I think no one watches it.

I see the last episode of "Science fell in love" bombed here as much as it did in other places. Way to kill any enthusiasm for third season. Otherwise, the season was really packed with good stuff, especially when it comes to romance. I'll be catching up for weeks.

Pretty Cure is high <3
Healer Girl is above the halfway mark, yay! I still think it's an underappreciated show and it's my pick for best of the season.
Deiamon and Heroines Run the Show deserve better. I know a lot of people were disappointed with Episode 11 of Heroines but I agree with the ANN review that it was a good episode and fit Hiyori's character (though I do think she is too hard on herself). I'm surprised about Deiamon's placement, it's been so good and just plain kind.
Dance Dance Danseur was an excellent drama series and I think it deserves to be higher than it is.

Dance Dance Danseur had a pretty weak finale, so I'm guessing it'll fall next week. Kinda surprised ep 10 did that well, since I liked 9 much better.

^ I thought episode 10 of Dance Dance was the best episode of the whole season, so I was a bit surprised it didn't go up that much lol

You say this when Attack on Titan exists.
