Questions and Answers
Q: A lot of your shows announced today have been SHAFT productions, is there any chance of Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei getting a release?
A: It has been on our radar for along time, but honestly, we do not have that title, but we would like to get it. The fact that many of our releases are SHAFT productions is a bit coincidental, but we do like their style.
Q: Will your Blu-Ray releases be multi-regioned?
A: Japan currently is having huge issues with Blu-ray releases and re-importation. Until a resolution can be figured out, our releases will be locked to the B region, unless we do a deal with a US company that allows us to also implement Region A as well.
Q: Will the licensing of Bakemonogatari extend to its prequel and sequels?
A: We certainly hope so. But unfortunately we can't announce any more stuff than we have already today.
Q: Will Bakemonogatari have the in-character audio commentaries?
A: We're certainly hoping to get it. We know people want it so we're fighting for it.
Q: Have you looked into Cat Shit One?
A: It's on our list of things to look out, but certainly nothing has happened as of yet.
Q: Is there any plans to box the three book manga that was included in the US release of Alien Nine?
A: No. The problem with that was cost. Alien Nine has been out of print for a few years now, but you can still buy it for so cheap that we had to put it out at a price that was comparable to it. It basically would cost too much money.
Q: Are you looking at getting any titles that aren't available in America?
A: Yes, however the list of titles we're currently looking at is around 130. But unfortunately I can't really name any off the top off my head right now. All I can say is that we have another half a dozen titles that we will be announcing next week.
Q: Are they planning to continue the Toradora! series?
A: Not that I have heard. However the series did sell quite well in Japan, so they may consider it one day.
